The club which covers the area of Ruislip, Eastcote & Ickenham celebrated its 41st year since formation on Friday during the 100 year anniversary of Lions International being formed. The event held at Fellini restaurant in Hatch End was attended by many guests including the District Governor of District 105a and the Mayor of Hillingdon .
The club presented the District Governor’s wife with a cheque for her charity supporting Admiral Nurses.
The Mayor was also given a cheque for his own charities and a club bannerette. In the years since being constituted, the club has raised thousands of pounds which have been donated to many charitable causes. The club also provides direct assistance to people in need by running film nights, cafe’s for carers, supporting young carers activities and driving mini buses for the disabled to attend events.
