Ruislip Lions<\/a> are delighted to welcome Illyria Theatre company<\/a>\u00a0to perform\u00a0for their summer event at Manor Farm.<\/p>\n This is an<\/strong> outdoor performance<\/strong>, taking place on the Grass Courtyard, outside the Manor Farm Library.<\/p>\n In their 26th open-air touring season, and renowned all over the world for their clarity, quality and ingenuity, Illyria return to their home-turf: Shakespearean comedy. Two sets of identical twins, separated at birth, unknowingly end up in the same city. More and more people are sucked into a vortex of mistaken identity including an Officer who is paid per arrest, a Goldsmith who hasn’t been paid at all, a delayed Merchant, an irate Courtesan and a mad Exorcist. To say nothing of a wife who sometimes feels her husband is two different personalities, and a poor Immigrant who is arrested for being the wrong nationality. And what exactly is the Abbess of Ephesus’s dark secret? Will anything ever make sense again?<\/p>\n To cap it all, this year Illyria\u2019s Shakespeare production is re-located to the town of Ephesus, Mexico, and is performed by our very own 5-piece Mariachi band, resplendent in ponchos and sombreros. Ay caramba!<\/p>\n Recommended Age:<\/strong>\u00a0Adults \/ children aged 5+<\/p>\n Running Time:<\/strong>\u00a02 hours including a 20 minute interval<\/p>\n Gates Open:<\/strong> from 6pm for picnickers.<\/p>\n Entry:\u00a0<\/strong>to the performance area will be from either end of the library.<\/p>\n Parking:<\/strong> is free in St Martin’s Approach car park, after 6pm.<\/p>\n Seating NOT provided:<\/strong>\u00a0Bring your own low-backed chair or a rug to sit on, along with warm clothing and insect repellent! \u00a0Please note that Patrons bringing chairs will be placed at the sides and rear of the grassed area, to allow those sitting on the ground a chance to see.<\/p>\n No tables, gazebos or BBQs permitted.<\/strong><\/p>\n No video \/ audio recording or flash photography permitted.<\/strong><\/p>\n Please switch off mobile telephones during performance.<\/strong><\/p>\n Weather: <\/strong>Rain will NOT stop play! As a charity, Ruislip Lions regret they will not refund cost of tickets.
