The Social Committee is made up of 9 Lion members and is responsible for organising various annual Lionistic events, as well as outings, visits, walks and other social activities which are open to all members and their partners to attend and enjoy. Charter Night celebrates the establishment of the Club over 40 years ago; the Christmas Party is a lunchtime or evening event with good food, good company and shared festive fun. Handover, normally in June, is when Committee Chairmen report on the previous year’s activities and the incoming President is inaugurated with appropriate solemnity and a great deal of fun and laughter. As well as organising the social events, Committee members play a full role in the various service activities undertaken by the Club
