Ruislip Lions attended Ruislip Manor Library 10 Year Anniversary

The Leader of Hillingdon Council  Cllr Ray Puddifoot with local MP Boris Johnson view the the Bagatelle table top game, which the club took to the library. They are seen here with the President of the club Phyllis and Chair of Services committee Fred. This turned out to be a very popular game with young people who enjoyed the hands on  game as opposed to their normal virtual experience with phones and tablets. Children and their parents from Newnham and Lady Banks Schools loved the non-techno bagatelle, “once you start on this game you don’t want to stop, you just want to keep raising your score” was the comment from one pupil, and it helps with mental arithmetic – this could be a Christmas stocking winner………. and not a mobile phone in site!!


Ruislip Lions helped to fund Acorn Youth Club Outing

The Acorn Youth Club based in Eastcote helps young people with learning difficulties. This year Ruislip Lions Club helped fund their outing to Southend.

Ruislip Carers Cafe Hosted by Ruislip Lions

Ruislip Lions work with Hillingdon Carers to host a cafe from 1.30pm to 3pm  for Carers who live in Eastcote, Ruislip, South Ruislip and Ruislip Manor at Ruislip Manor Methodist Church, Torrington Rd. The forthcoming dates are 21st August, 18th September, 16th October, 20th November and 18th December 2017.
